Broadband is an important tool for everybody in the 21st century. broadband.gov.ie is an impartial and confidential consumer advice website that has been developed by my Department, with the cooperation of the telecommunications industry, to help you to:

1. find out who is providing a broadband service in your locality;
2. compare the different products on the market, and
3. decide which product suits you best.

Consumers should be able to tell retailers what products they are interested in buying. This website allows you, the consumer, to tell the telecommunications industry where you want a choice of broadband services. Don't forget to make your voice heard by voting for more broadband services in your locality.
